I worked for a local authority educational psychology service for several years and I have experienced the pressures on local authority services. The desire of EPs to provide that early support that we know makes such a difference by reducing the escalation of difficulties, provide teachers with the support they need and ultimately help children to flourish and teachers to enjoy teaching!
But our traditional way of working does not maximise learning or support. There are too many schools and not enough EPs!
So what can we do? This is why I have designed this new programme. To meet this need. To build your capacity to systematically assess a situation, with training and coaching to provide you with support and advice along the way.

Holistic assessment
Systematically making sense of a situation is not something people tend to do unless specifically taught to do so! Learn how to systematically make sense of what is going on for a child. How to identify the child's strengths and needs but also all those environmental factors that have such a huge impact on the child's experience of school and learning. Learn how to draw all these together to create a holistic picture on which to develop an effective support plan.
